Short Bio Per Ankaer - Sweden
My love of tourism started early and I studied Tourism in the United Kingdom and Denmark. After working at different companies for the following eleven years, I made the move and joined ICS-Motivational Events in the year of 2006. My passion for the company resulted in the fact that I am now the Managing Director and Owner of the company. I speak several languages fluently, which always helps in our industry. At ICS-Motivational Events we strive to perfection in order to make you and your clients happy.

LRG Integrated Meetings & Events
Beyond the Meeting
Sweden dates back to the dark ages and slowly grew to significance during the Viking era. You can still find signs of these great warriors in the form of burial mounds and ruins when you travel through Sweden.
One of our loviest cities today is Stockholm, which is spread over 14 different islands. As a result the town is connected by lots of bridges, which gives Stockholm a very special charm.
Visiting the countryside will show you stunning landscapes, which seem to be made for hiking, skiing and swimming. In the North we still have Nomads, the Sami people, where you can spend time in a reindeer camp and watch their way of life which has not changed for centuries. The Northern lights are famous in Sweden and we can easily design a program that incorporates the best that Sweden has to offer.
Program idea Stockholm
Welcome to Stockholm
Sweden's capital city spreads out over 14 islands in Lake Mälaren and looks out proudly to the Baltic Sea to the east. Her grand public buildings, palaces, rich cultural history and museums tell her 700 year-old history beautifully.
Nowhere is this better illustrated than in the Old Town (Gamla Stan); expect and get cobblestone streets, crooked but beautifully preserved buildings, the Royal Palace, gothic churches and excellent cafés, bars, restaurants and Swedish design-ware shops. Take our advice and get a hit of caffeine at one of Stockholm's many fine cafés before trawling the boutiques, shops and stores of upscale Swedish and international design boutiques of Östermalm, and independent Swedish labels, vintage and retro shops and boutiques of Södermalm. If you're a fan of Steig Larsson's Millennium Trilogy books and movies Södermalm is the place to be because this is the setting for the Millennium Tour.
Do yourself a favour and buy a Stockholm Card when you're here. Travel by bus, train and metro. And get loads of free admissions to Stockholm museums and other attractions.

Tour "Stockholm Highlights", by private bus and guide- 5 hours
This northern city is one of the most stunning capitals in the world. It is situated on 4 islands and is surrounded by water so clean that you can swim and fish right in the heart of the city. This makes it a real Beauty on Water.
Stockholm is also the gateway to the archipelago, a world of 24.000 islands, rocks and skerries, and Lake Mälaren with its castles, picturesque small towns and beautiful countryside. A sightseeing tour of Stockholm will include city districts such as Södermalm, Kungsholmen, Djurgården and famous sights as the Royal Palace, the Parliament Buildings, the Cathedral etc.
You will also visit the enchanting Gamla Stan (Old Town) with its narrow cobbled streets and numerous antique shops. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the City Hall, built in 1923, with its famous Blue and Golden Halls where the Nobel Prize Banquet is held each year.
Vasa is a Swedish warship that was built from 1626 to 1628. The ship foundered and sank after sailing less than a nautical mile (ca 2 km) into its maiden voyage on 10 August 1628. It fell into obscurity after most of its valuable bronze cannons were salvaged in the 17th century. After it was located again in the late 1950s in a busy shipping lane just outside the Stockholm harbor, it was salvaged with a largely intact hull in 1961. It was housed in a temporary museum called Wasavarvet ("The Wasa Shipyard") till 1987 and then moved to the Vasa Museum in Stockholm.
Incl. entrance to Town hall& Vasa Museum
End of the tour at Östermalm Saluhall to have lunch at Lisa Elmqvist restaurant
Östermalms Saluhall is a beautiful and well preserved historical document of urban residents' interest in good food and over a century it´s been a veritable oasis for gourmets and gastronomes.
In the food hall the name of Lisa Elmqvist represents a fish stall and restaurant with a unique know-how and an inherited sense of the delicacies of the sea. Large parties for between 20 and 500 guests are arranged in the midst of the hall's century-old food tradition.
Time at leisure.
Dinner at Fem Små Hus
Fem Små Hus is a staple in Stockholm cuisine, with a restaurant that dates back to the late 1600s. The cellars from the original building are still here, adding to the old-fashioned appeal of this restaurant.
Meaning "Five Small Houses" in English, Fem Små Hus is more like a mini castle with its antique furnishings and decor. Dark rooms, candlelight and plush seating create a cozy atmosphere for your meal here. The cuisine here is also quite memorable, with attentive service and masterful chefs that create dishes from the freshest of ingredients. Presentation is everything, as you'll find at this long-established restaurant.
We can divide the group into smaller groups and switch the activities (for each activity a max/min of 15 pax is allowed):
A guided rooftop tour is an historical experience within a magnificent view!
Even though many may view the height as a challenge, it is not this aspect that is the main aim of the tour.
The old Parliamentary Building is indeed a good starting point for the history of Stockholm, and presents a nice view of the oldest parts of town, i.e. Gamla Stan and surrounding areas.
During the 13th century Franciscan monks built a monastery on Riddarholmen. The monastery´s church, presently Riddarholmskyrkan was employed for Royal ceremonies and funerals as early as the Middle-Ages.

Experience Stockholm from the charcters' perspective – with a little imagination, it will feel like you are part of the suspenseful mystery as the plot unfolds.
Larsson's trilogy has become a huge success. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest have sold millions of copies worldwide and have been made into feature films. Since then, masses of Stieg Larsson fans have been making their way to Stockholm to see the settings where the stories take place.

WHISKEY TASTING AT SPRITMUSEUM
"Sweden: Spirits of a Nation" is Spritmuseum's great permanent exhibition, on the bittersweet relationship between Swedes and alcohol. The exhibition is designed as a walk through our seasons, given shape through sceneries, smells, tastes and music. The visitor can relax on a park bench or hang out in the bar, partaking in pain and pleasure, enjoyment and hangovers, light and dark, warmth and cold.
The exhibition pinpoints certain phenomena we all have experienced, whether we drink or not: drinking songs, building an identity using alcohol, norms, attitudes and values, as well as the production of alcohol, including rules and restrictions.
With "Sweden: Spirits of a Nation", Spritmuseum wants to activate all senses and memories. The aim is to affect the visitor on several levels, and inspire a reflection on why alcohol is a Swedish cultural symbol and our divided relationship to alcohol and the spirits in our lives.
