What makes Portugal a great destination

Why Portugal

Portugal might not be a very large country, but it has so much to offer. We have stunning Lisbon - our capital which you could visit again and again. When you come to Lisbon, you can see the medieval quarter of Alfama, the lively downtown area of Baixa, dotted with shops, restaurants, bars and theaters, the attractive late 16th c hilltop area of Bairro Alto and lets not forget the  the grandiose parks, museums, cafés and promenade of the Belém Quarter.

Portugal has other stunning cities, Porto, Faro, Lagos, each with their own charm and beauty. We have sandy beaches, villages in which time seems to have stood still, great golf courses and idyllic landscapes.

Our country lends itself to hiking, biking, dancing, swimming, team building, everything you need for a fantastic incentive you'll find here.

Oporto, frequently referred as the Capital of the North, offers the delights of a riverside city as it is magnificently situated on the mouth of the Douro River, from where boats leave to sail up the beautiful river.
To visit Oporto is to discover a passionate history, a fog-covered river, the flavour of tradition in a glass of Port; it is to stand before a medieval town and its historical and cultural evolution. UNESCO has recently designated Porto as a World Heritage City which is a fitting recognition not only of its beauty sculpted in granite, but also of the unforgettable panorama of its historic centre with narrow streets and typical houses arrayed like a cascade right down to the river, and of its passionate history which determined the country's destiny.

There are many great hotels in Porto. We would be happy to send you a selection.

The lodge is still in use today, making Graham's one of the very few working Lodges still operational after 100 years.
Visit includes the Museum, the wine cellars ending with a Port wine tasting in the Main room or in a Private room.
The ambience of the restaurant is an extension of the cellars, were the barrels are visible beyond a wall of glass and steel, granite walls, wooden ceilings and large beams based on iron columns. But with the sophistication that comes from the mixture of light and dark woods, soft golden lights and white cloth. If you prefer you can stay on the terrace, which has stunning views and can be used either on
the hottest days, either in the wettest. In addition to the main meals, you can enjoy a glass of wine with tapas, snacks and sweets at any time of day, the winebar.
