Prior to starting the company, I managed very successfully, for a large number of years, a leading DMC in Dubai. With 25 years of experience in the travel industry, I founded 1001 Events in 2004. My success as an entrepreneur continued with the expansion of the company, opening the branch office in Muscat, Oman and more recently with the expansion into Abu Dhabi office, in February 2014.

What makes Oman a great destination

 Why Oman:
The desert divides Oman from its Arabian neighbors and the Sultanate of Oman is truly an oasis, simply stunning. With white sandy beaches, the Arabian sea, the Persian gulf, big mountains, the dunes of the desert and lone islands, Oman will tempt you with its beauty.

Here you can still see turtles nestling in the sand, go off-roading through river beds and mountain tracks, dip in wadis with the locals, visit the village markets and dive to see the most amazing fish.

Hotels are amazing and restaurants serve fresh seafood under star-lit skies.

At 1001 events we would be delighted to assist with the best team building and dinner activities you can find in Oman. It has all the ingredients for a perfect incentive destination.

Day 2: Morning Muscat City tour – Lunch – Dinner in a Omani House

Morning Half day Muscat City Tour

Muscat offers the visitors a unique opportunity to witness a modern city existing in harmony with its traditional culture. The tour winds through the Oman's exclusive residential area of Shati Al Qurum with its elegant villas and arrive at the Grand Mosque at what may be the most exquisite mosque in Oman.

The Tour continues towards the Muscat Road at the Muscat Gate. Winding through the visit to the Bait Al Zubair Museum, The Mattrah souk and visit to the Fort of
Jalalai and Mirani and Al Alam Palace (from Outside).

The Museum consists of a concise collection reflecting the splendid Omani Heritage. We then proceed to the latest addition of Bait Al Zubair Museum the typical Omani Town House (optional) that graphically depicts the lifestyles in Oman between the 1920's and 1970. The visitor can now see examples of both rural and urban traditional Omani architecture. The recently renovated and restored historic Omani town house at Bait Al Zubair enables you to step back in time and experience how people lived and also give them a rare glimpse of photographs, prints and maps detailing the changing face of Muscat, the capital of Oman.

Grand Mosque is open from Saturday to Thursdays from 0800 – 1100 hrs only.
• Ladies visiting the mosque are required to cover their head with scarf and do not wear shorts, beach wear or sleeveless outfits as they are to be fully covered.
• Men are also to be full covered.

Mattrah Souk: We continue our visit to the Mattrah Souk one of the most popular souks in the Middle East. Take a walk in its labyrinthine alleyways beckoning with a myriad of merchandise, from imported fabrics to exotic Oriental spices, perfumes and richly handcrafted Artifacts. A visit to this frenetic, pulsating hub of Muscat's old quarter makes for a delightful experience.

We continue our visit to the magnificent Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said the ruler of Oman. It is a ceremonial focus and symbol of Oman's Renaissance. The palace is an architectural marvel for both its design and its location between the twin Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali (A brief photograph stop from outside only).

07:00 – 17:30 : We drive along the famous route once traveled by renowned travelers like Ibn Battuta and
Marco Polo, to Nizwa. It is the traditional capital of the vast interior region of Oman.

Behind them, the impressive New Souq complex has been sensitively designed using Omani fort architecture and elegant Islamic arches. The air‐conditioned halls of this souq are full of fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices, huge stacks of dates and freshly caught fish. This is still the best place to buy traditional silver "Khanjars" (hand‐ carved Omani daggers) and Bedouin jewellery, where silver is still sold by weight. At the far end and through the gate, we come to the path which leads up to Nizwa Fort. The 17th century round tower fort nearby is Oman's most impressive tower. Built on a solid base of rock, the huge tower was designed to withstand the vibrations of 24 cannons. From the top, a superb panoramic view gives visitors a bird's eye view all around Nizwa and the surrounding plains ‐ a sure delight for all avid photographers!

From here the guests will proceed to Al Hamra. The town of Al Hamra sits over 600 metres above sea level and yet rising another 2400 meters above the town is Oman's highest peak "Jebel Shams" which pierces the sky at over 3000 meters. The slopes of this dramatic peak, which fall away towards Al Hamra, are cut through with a number of Wadis.

Guests will enjoy a lovely lunch at the mountain top and then drive down towards Wadi Bani Awf. Be prepared for the adventure, crossing the Hajjar Mountains. Driving on the mountain is a very interesting section for thrill lovers. Indeed, nothing prepares you for what's in store when you arrive at this splendid getaway after enduring a bone‐jarring ride for the better part of an hour. Springing into view in the breathtaking sight of the Hajjars in all their magnificent grandeur. Oman's unspoilt beauty unfurls in a rich tapestry of craggy peaks and rock scapes threaded by wadis as far as the eye can see.

Bilad Sayt, a scenic oasis settlement, can be seen at the bottom of the gorge that plunges just beyond the rocky summit of Sharfat Al Alamayn. It is cool and blustery even at the mid‐day, with white cottony clouds hovering just overhead on this delightful promontory called Sharfat Al Alamayn. On a clear day, visitors can enjoy vistas of picturesque Wadi Bani Awf, pass through the lush farm land, watch the roaming camels as you travel towards the distant peaks of the Hajjar range which rise to more than 1000meters.
