Short Bio Jean Michel Romon
Born in 1973 in Switzerland, I have always been interested in tourism. I studied at the School of Tourism as well. After my studies, I worked as a travel agent for six years and became a product manager. In 1997 I made the decision to move to Myanmar where I started my own DMC agency based in Yangon.
In 2003 my company became part of Phoenix Voyages. We now also have our own boats and hotels and are very involved to develop this fascinating country.

Testimonial Phoenix Voyages Myanmar
Dear Jean Michel and team,
We've just arrived home and were able to rest a little, and now we're already working on another event.
I wanted to write to thank you for your work, dedication, efforts and know how demonstrated during our trip.
There have been many days of work and we have spent many hours together, and during all this time you always had a smile on your face and strived to please the clients.
You have been our hands and feet during these days and it is thanks to you that the client personally congratulated us for the work that had been done.
It has really been a pleasure working with you.
I hope we'll meet again soon.
A big kiss to all,
When you come to Myanmar, formerly Burma, you will feel like time stood still , perhaps you'll find yourself like Sleeping Beauty waking up in a world 100 years later. It is a part of Asia where people still move by horse cart, the internet is so slow it's not worth going on line, and mobile phones are reserved for the extremely wealthy. Stately colonial mansions stand grandly, as do the pagodas and more than a thousand temples which are scattered all over the country side or clumped together by the hundreds in some places. The revered monks in their red robes are holy men and you will find them throughout Myanmar.
This country is a cultural gem with breathtaking landscapes and interesting people. We can put together the most fascinating programs for you and your clients.
