Short Bio Hanneke Dannhorn

Born in the Netherlands, and living in the UK since the late seventies, I set up Brook Green UK DMC after getting a real 'taste' for Incoming tourism.

In the meantime we have grown steadily which is no surprise with such wonderful destinations such London, Edinburgh, Scotland and the rest of the UK. With a Dutch sense of realism, sense of humor and a cool head to solve problems and with a wonderful team of 9, we have grown the company to a well regarded and reliable DMC with clients worldwide.

I am married to John Greenway, have two children and my hobbies are my work, cooking, all types of music (classical mostly), reading and travelling.

It is hard not to be bowled over by beautiful, happening London. When you walk from area to area, it seems London is divided in different villages, one even more impressive than the other. From the riches and grandeur of Chelsea and Knightsbridge with the most amazing department store in the world "Harrods", to hip and trendy Notting Hill with its famous Portabello market; from Covent Garden - the theater district and former flower market to "The City" - financial heart of the world.

London is vibrant, overwhelming, exciting. Architecture is simply stunning, the skyline of London is still constantly changing, with one of its latest additions "The Gherkin".  Other wonderful silhouettes (and great places for events are  The Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral, The Tower Bridge, The Ferris Wheel, the list is endless. London is one of the world's most remarkable and exciting cities and the capital of the United Kingdom. The vibrant metropolis embraces the diverse cultures of its population, reflected through cuisine, shops, music and colourful festivals.

The city is famous for a wealth of history and culture. Home to Britain's national art collections, the Royal family and a host of major attractions, London's rich history, striking architecture and over 200 museums offer a unique cultural experience.

More than 30% of London is made up of parks and green space, greater than any other city of its size in the world. This space provides the perfect opportunity for walks, relaxation or sporting activities. London also offers some of the best shopping opportunities in the world. From major department stores to designer boutiques and street markets - the choice is immense. As if that wasn't enough, London is hard to beat when it comes to nightlife. There are huge numbers of restaurants, pubs, cinemas, theatres as well as live music and comedy venues. So, at any time of day, whatever the weather, you'll always find something special to do in London.

London is a very accessible city; it has five international airports, an efficient road network and extensive Underground, train, bus, and taxi services.

Day 1 - Welcome to London

12.55 hrs Arrival at London Heathrow Airport, Terminal 1 - 2 x luggage vans - 2 bags assistants to load cases to the van 

13.30 hrs Estimated time for Meet & Greet at arrival hall and transfer to the hotel. Guides should split the group into coach loads with intervals in between.

14.45 hrs Estimated arrival time to The Melia White House Hotel Upon arrival group to walk directly to Place Restaurant for lunch

Hospitality desk in the lobby by the bar door, not far from the restaurant Keys laid out alphabetically once all the rooms ready – check-in from 15h00.
Porters to collect luggage from coaches and deliver to guests' bedrooms.

3 course buffet lunch including coffee, ½ a bottle of wine and ½ a bottle water, this can be replaced with 2 beers or 2 soft drinks.

16.15 hrs Meeting room – Albany suite - PA system with 2 handheld microphones
Screen LCD projector and 1 flipchart

Evening London Eye & Medieval Banquet l Beefeater:

17.45 hrs Transfer by 3 x Routemasters to the London Eye. Evening assistance by staff

Please note the group needs to be on time due to the booking at the London Eye at 18.30 hrs

18.30 hrs 'Flight' on the London Eye l 30 minutes rotation

12.30 hrs Welcome drink plus finger food and mini tour (press room, tunnel, pitch side, shed upper viewing
Points for photos.

13.30 hrs Shopping at Chelsea Megastore (1hr)

14.00 hrs Selection of hot & cold bowl food, complimentary beer, wine and soft drinks

16.30 hrs Group to be escorted to seats in the west Stand upper Tier

17.30 hrs Match kick off

19.45 hrs Transfer by 3 x 49 seater coaches to hotel Melia
Coaches to be parked at Imperial Way. Group to walk from Chelsea Football Club to Imperial Way.

Evening: Madame Tussaud's Gala Dinner:

21.30 hrs Group to gather at the hotel lobby

21.45 hrs: Transfer by 3 x 49 seater coaches to Madame Tussauds
Evening assistance by 3 x Portuguese Speaking Guides

22.00 hrs Madame Tussauds

Guests to arrive via Main entrance
Guests to be directed to the Party room for drink reception and Speeches.
Sparkling wine, soft drinks for the reception, beers on request.

22.30 hrs Announce dinner l Guest to make their way to World Stage via "Film"
14 tables l set up 8 per table l Candelabras on the tables

09.30 hrs Transfer by 3 x 49 seater coaches to proceed for Half Panoramic Tour of London

12.30 hrs Drop the guests in Hanover Square for Afternoon shopping.
Guides to inform on-route that group will be collected from the same point on departure.

16.30 hrs Group to gather at Hanover Square.

17.00 hrs Transfer by 3 x 49 seater coaches to London Heathrow Terminal 1
