 Testimonial GoAvenues

"Maria, I'd like to tell you how much I enjoyed my tours of north and south India with GoAvenues. During the planning phase, I appreciated your consistent attention to my many emails and questions. From the moment I arrived at the airport in India, the GoAvenues agents and drivers were on time and 100% dependable. I am still amazed at how perfectly the many connections with drivers, hotels and guides were executed, and I have told many of my friends here in the US what a remarkable feat Splendour accomplished. I also appreciated the fact that Splendor agents met and called me from time to time along the way to make sure everything was proceeding well. I enjoyed the company of my driver Kannan a great deal. He and I talked about many things during the trip, and he gave me a great deal of insight into Indian thinking and ideals.
The sights I saw on my India tours far exceeded my expectations. Of course everyone expects to be blown away by the Taj Mahal, and of course I was. But what I really wasn't ready for was the incredible beauty and workmanship of the temples and art in cities like Madurai and Tanjore. I've told many here in the US that we Americans marvel at the works of the ancient Egyptians, such as the pyramids and hieroglyphics, but what I found in south India equaled or exceeded the quality of those works. The fact is that Indian art is just less well known in our part of the world.
I would definitely consider taking another tour with Splendour, and in fact I'm already emailing them about setting one up. If your tour runs as smoothly as mine, you can look forward to a perfectly executed trip.
Happy travelling!"

What makes Goa so incredible

Why Goa

Goa is a destination, which seems to combine Portuguese and Indian influences in equal measures. Here you can dine at the table set on the beach, whilst the water of the Arabian sea laps at your feet.
Goa is separated from India by moutains. Originally a hippy destination, it is now one of the most beautiful places in the world, with its spectacular white sandy beaches which stretch more than 75 miles along its coast, beautiful hotels, gorgeous house boats, river valleys, forested mountains, green paddy fields, wonderful food and a great life style.

Old Goa houses the old catholic monasteries, rococo and baroque churches and cathedrals, lovely local markets and colonial mansions. We also have nature reserves at Cotigao and Netravali.

We would love to assist you you with some incentive or group programs that will show you the best of Goa.

Exciting shopping trip to a local market followed by cooking demo on popular Indian & Goan cuisine.
In a land so rich in cultural heritage, it is but natural that Indian cuisine is multifarious, offering a delight to both the eye and palate. Its myriad flavors and cooking traditions find their roots in its historical influences. Until the advent of cook books, all cookery instructions were oral and practical and, whereas certain items like dals, flour and rice were measured, important flavoring ingredients (like spices and masalas) were added according to individual judgment. Learn the art of choosing the right ingredients and the method of preparation for some of the popular Indian dishes. The day begins with a short visit to the local market to shop for vegetables and meats. Each group will be given a budget within which to buy the necessary ingredients. Return to the hotel, followed by an interactive cooking demo with the culinary experts. The dishes prepared will be served during lunch.

Go-Karting - adventure sports in Goa
Go-Karting is surely catching up in India and is the latest craze in Goa. It is suitable for those that have a passion of driving in the fastest lane and requires no special training beforehand. There are two venues for go-karting in Goa, one each in the North & South.
Contrary to the fears of most people; go-Karting is quite safe and enjoyable as a lot is done to ensure absolute safety for the driver. The go-karts are non-geared and quickly mastered and the driver sits only a few inches above the ground. Loose clothing is discouraged and the driver has to compulsorily wear a helmet. The Go-Karting race tracks in Nuvem, situated towards north of Margao (South Goa) is very popular and is billed to be one of the best in the entire country. Infact the Nuvem track regularly holds the Goan leg for JK Tyre National Go Karting Championship. The long 482 m track is sure to give goose bumps to the driving addicts. A giant display board displays all the racing statistics to the racing buffs as well as the audience. Whether you are racing alone or with your friends the Go Karting arena is one of the best means to satiate the craving for driving.

His deft hands have shaped thousands of earthen pots and his destiny too collect your FREE souvenir to remind of your steps back.

Dinner at a Portuguese House in old Goa "Solar dos Colacos"
This mansion is at Ribandar on the left bank of the River Mandovi, mid- way between Old Goa and Panjim. It is built in baroque style with an imposing facade with a spectacular view of islands and the historical churches of Old Goa. It is, probably, the only Goan mansion that faces the river. Typical of the ambivalence of the times, Nazario Colaco II carved a sideboard of his dining room with scenes from the Ramayana. But this is counterbalanced by the strident Catholicism of the family's private chapel.
