What makes Bratislava a great destination

Why Bratislava

Bratislava might be a new name, only about 100 years old, but it is a charming old city dating back to pre-Roman times. This makes for a wonderful mix of different cultures, cuisines, different architectural styles from the stunning city castle to Soviet style apartment buildings and UFO style new bridge, cobblestone streets, lively bars, Austrian-Hungarian palaces and the Danube river as a stunning backdrop for our intriguing city.

Bratislava is surrounded by vineyards, beautiful mountains and forests. You can go skiing, you can dine in cafes on the river bank, enjoy cultural events, like the Slovak Philharmonic, pop concerts, ballet and National Theater and some glamorous cities are within reach, like Vienna, linked to Bratislava by hydrofoil services.

We can put together the most wonderful program in this unique city, which can also easily be combined with stately Vienna.

At DZK Travel DMC, we know the best venues, the intimate restaurants, the special touches that make events and incentives magical.

Bratislava program

Slovakia – Did you know?
The very first parachute jump was attempted from one of the city's churches in 1603 by Professor Futus Verancic, based on a plan by Leonardo Da Vinci. The city of Bratislava is especially well-suited for walking rallies, with some surprising questions!

Bratislava, the "Mediterranean" City of the East

Situated on the banks of the Danube River, at the foot of the Little Carpathians, the city of Bratislava exudes an astonishingly Mediterranean ambience. Its narrow cobblestone pedestrian streets, superb historic buildings, café terraces, churches and theatres and warm inhabitants will charm you as you stroll through the historic centre. Dominated by an elegant castle, Bratislava is a perfect introduction to Eastern Europe.

Who is this programme for?
• Stimulation and motivation trip
• Reward trip
• Seminar

Day 1
Arrival at Vienna Airport (40 minutes' transfer).
Introduction to the country during the bus ride.
Transfer to city centre (baggage goes directly to the hotel).
Traditional lunch in city centre.
Exploration of Bratislava in the form of a rally: the old town, the castle, Hviezdoslavovo Square, Michael's Gate, etc. The pedestrian centre is a perfect and fun introduction to the city. The buildings recall central Prague, with the ambience of a provincial town.
Typical dinner with folklore show at Koliba Restaurant, a little mountain chalet located in the Kamzik forest, 15 minutes from downtown. An ideal spot for savouring the traditional roast goose.

Day 2
Early departure for the superb Cerveny Kamen castle. Stop along the way for a wine tasting in the cellars of Pezinok Castle.
Arrival at Cerveny Kamen, greeting with Medieval performance. Tour of the permanent exhibit and the castle's cellars (the largest in Central Europe).
On site, in the castle's inner courtyard.
Discover one of the country's favourite sports: rafting. The adrenaline is guaranteed to flow in the Cunovo canal, where the Slovakian national team trains.
Return to the hotel.
Surprise transfer aboard a historic tramway to Mirbach Palace, where the group will enjoy our caterer's luxury cuisine in the Hall of Mirrors. Live music and video show.
Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 3
Transfer to the city of Austerlitz (today known as Slavkov) to watch a re-creation of the Battle of Austerlitz. Dubbed the "Battle of the Three Emperors," it is considered Napoleon Bonaparte's tactical masterwork, and even today it is taught in many military schools.
*Lunch at the castle's restaurant
Return to the airport and departure.

- The city has several options for getting around, including the Presporacik, or "little train" that can be reserved for private use.
- In the city centre, Reduta Hall offers a lovely setting for a gala dinner.
